Giving is the best communication: another Thai tearjerker

Here is another Thai tearjerking commercial that I have come across, although this was made a few years back now and albeit for a telecommunication company.

Again like other Thai commercials which are emotive and engaging the theme and emphasis here is on the notion of giving back. I guess It might have something to do with their Buddhist belief systems that work on a doctrine of karma. Its interesting how this belief permeates even into the marketing and corporate world of Thailand.

A simple story told beautifully, again kind of funny that we get these Dickensian themes in an Asian corporate commercial. I particularly like the deliberate use of colour between the outside world which are earthy browns and off-whites to the internal institutionalised world of pure whites and artificial lights. This as well as the perfect music and deliberate use of slow motion shots push this again into the realm of tearjerking.
