Imagine if a war broke out in Australia, or in America, the UK? will our sense of  urgency to protect life, especially that of children be thrusted into high alert. Will we do everything imaginable to make sure that the world know's our plight and perhaps they may come and help us, even stop the war, feel compassion for our children and try and save them?

Today as I type this blog there are 30 ongoing conflicts happening in the world. One of the latest, the conflict happening in Syria, looks no closer to abating. But daily we see in newspapers, news, etc, the horrors and unimaginable suffering being thrusted upon an innocent population. This is happening in Africa, the middle east, south east Asia. And the West's response? Condemn Russia, for the so far non event invasion of Crimea. A travesty yes! but what about the 30 other travesties, that have been ongoing collectively for over 3 centuries up until and still today.
